Karen and Lee Duquette attended their 14th Monster Truck Event
This time it was for the Monster Truck Wars
Rand Grandstand, North Carolina State Fairgrounds,
4285 Trinity Road, Raleigh, NC
(It would have been #15 if they had made it to the finals as planned)

Just before parking their car for this event, Lee Duquette spotted
"Sergeant Smash" in the parking lot, so they stopped
to take pictures with it. It is a 12-time Ride Truck of the year - Hummer
Ride Truck, HORSEPOWER: 750HP, WEIGHT: 13,000LB
Although it is a Monster Truck, it is NOT a racing monster truck.
This one is actually used for people attending the event to pay $15
a person (on this date) to take a one-minute ride in a separate area.
It did some minor spins. Mostly children rode in it.

Only four monster
trucks competed in this event on this date. Outlaw, Shark Attack, Sheriff,
and T-Rex. Lee and Karen Duquette were not sure about how many nor which
monster trucks would be here on this date. And although there were only
four monster trucks, they were four that Lee and Karen Duquette have NOT
seen before. And luckily each of the four trucks were sold here in their
miniature version. So Karen got to add them to her collection. |

on this date, Mason Rife was not around when these photos were taken.
By the time he came near his monster truck, the line for photos was
very long so Lee and Karen did not try to get a photo with him. Mason
rife was on pro tour for three decades.
