August 16-17, 2015 & July 6, 2013 - The two RV Gypsies stayed at Havre RV Park in Havre, Montana for one-night in 2013 and two-nights in 2015. The park was right next to a hotel. Registration was in the fuel store. The park had great water pressure, NO TV, no Wi-Fi except in the hotel lobby, which RVers staying in this campground can use. The two RV Gypsies' own Wi-Fi did come in at their site though and it worked fast.
The train station was right behind the park. The trains ran constantly all day and night and blew their horns. RVers staying at this campground can use the hotel hot tub and pool which stayed open until 11 p.m. Karen did use the hot tub in 2013, but not in 2015. The Hot tub was smooth and did not snag bathing suits. But of course lots of children were in the nearby pool making lots of noise. Children came in the hot tub even though they were under the posted age. The Sauna did not work in 2013.
The pool area required a hotel key to get in, so ask about how to enter the pool area if you camp here. RVers may also use the exercise room, lounge and casino. Computer and modem access in hotel lobby.
Sprinklers run at night so no rugs, mats or pallets on the grass. The park is patrolled by the police department,
There were only 54 spots in total here. Big rigs parked horizontally on a street within the park (which is called pull-thru parking, but of course that applies only if the site behind or in front of the RV is empty). The two RV Gypsies' toad did not fit in their site. There was a small medium of grass between sites with grass and a picnic table. 50 amp service, water & sewer. Limited sites for big rigs.
Comment; These sites are parallel parked along a road side. Why would the park assign spots and leave a spot in the middle of two RVs already there. The two RV Gypsies watched a big 5th wheel struggle to park in-between two other big RVs. All the big sites are the same size so the two RV Gypsies wonder why they wouldn't line them up instead of leaving a space in-between two RVs so one has to struggle like that. He never got it right and hopefully the RV behind him isn't leaving in the morning or it won't get out.
Check-out time was noon. |
