Fred McFeely Rogers (March 20, 1928 - February 27, 2003) also known as Mister Rogers, was an American TV host, author, producer, puppeteer, singer, composer, educator and Presbyterian minister. He was the creator and host of the preschool TV series Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, which ran from 1968-2001. He received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2002, one of the highest civilian awards in the US, presented by a US President. |
