Below: Dozens of larger-than-life bulldog statues stood guard throughout Athens, Georgia as part of a public art display. The bulldog statues are made of fiberglass and stand four feet high (exact dimensions are 70" x 33" x 44"). Unfortunately, Karen Duquette was only able to photograph a couple of them as Lee Duquette drove past them. It just was not always possible to stop at these statues because traffic was quite heavy, and parking spots were hard to find. Plus they only had the one day to drive around looking for statues, because the main reason they went to Athens, Georgia was to attend another Monster Jam Event. |

Below: Since there
were so many bull dogs around town, Lee Duquette decided to play mimic
the dogs when he saw a fire hydrant in the middle of the sidewalk. |

Below: Then it was time for lunch and Lee Duquette chose the Blind Pig Tavern in downtown Athens. |

Blind Pig Tavern started in 1998 and is locally known as a place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal, watch the game, unwind after a long day, catch a quick lunch, or just enjoy a friendly, neighborhood bar and grill. Blind Pig Tavern is known for its giant hamburgers, wings, and several specialty salads and sandwiches. Lee and Karen Duquette enjoyed the food, but would not return here again. |
