Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park - December 29, 2025

Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park offers an immersive and educational wildlife experience just 45 minutes from Sydney's central business district. Nestled in the scenic suburb of Doonside, this park is renowned for its extensive collection of Australian animals, with up-close encounters with native wildlife in a naturalistic setting.

The park is home to over 1,700 animals, representing more than 300 species, including iconic Australian creatures such as kangaroos, koalas, wombats, and emus. Lee and Karen Duquette enjoyed interactive experiences, including hand-feeding kangaroos and wallabies, and getting close to koalas for memorable photo opportunities.

The park’s friendly and knowledgeable staff offered engaging presentations and talks, enhancing the educational value of the visit. This park is not wheelchair acessible. The place was rather small but everything was great.
