Lee Duquette parked the RV
at Renfro Valley KOA in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky (Rock Castle County). It
was one of the nicer KOA campgrounds, with paved roads (a real plus)
a great children's play area, the standard pool, volleyball court, mini-golf
area, and lots more. The cable TV came in pretty good. The campground
Wi-Fi worked sometimes, but not all of the time.
On Friday night, the two RV Gypsies went to a free movie in the campground
"Life with Pi" plus got free popcorn, and on Saturday
there was an ice cream social. This KOA had several activities. |
NOTE: Lee and Karen Duquette
stayed here again September 29 - 30, 2015. The campground Wi-Fi did
not work at their site this time. It rained almost the entire time they
were here, so they did not do anything except laundry, grocery shopping
and cleaning the RV. Occasionally a train was heard, but it was in the
distance and did not annoy the two RV Gypsies. Standard campground rules
applied, but the two RV Gypsies did notice a different rule - "Do
not use flushable wipes in this park". Check-out time was
noon on this date. All campground rules are always subject to change
as time passes. |
