The two RV Gypsies left Markham Park on April 25, 2008 - after saying "see
you later" to their beautiful daughter and grandchildren, and headed
to Orlando to visit their son, Brian Lee Duquette.

The two RV Gypsies left Orlando on May 11, 2008 after spending Mothers Day
and 2 weeks time with their wonderful son, Brian Lee Duquette
and saying "see you at Thanksgiving love" - then made a stop at
The Villages to visit some friends, Ed and Athalie. Check

May 11- May 13, 2008: Suwannee River Music Park and Campground in Live Oak,
Florida, near the Georgia border. Two nights and one day fun stop while
heading up the east coast. Check

4. May 13, 2008 - a quick overnight rest stop at North
Shore Resort in Greensboro, with some great photos.

May 14 - May 17, 2008- Horseshoe Trails Camping Resort - Cleveland, Georgia
and a visit to Karen's friend, Dottie who lives in Georgia. Babyland - the
home of the Cabbage Patch Dolls, and Anna Ruby Falls. These photos have
been combined with #47 on the map because this is a place the two RV Gypsies
have been to many times and since there isn't room on the above map to put
multiple numbers in the same spot on the map, photos from several trips
to this same area have been combined and can be reached by choosing
#47 on the above map. You won't find a #5 on the map at all. |

May 17, 2008 - Travel Resorts of America, Jackson Springs, North Carolina
- an overnight rest stop but the the two professional tourists photographed
lovely Sycamore trees. Check

May 18 - May 23, 2008 Pohick Bay Regional Park, on the Potomac River in
Northern Virginia, close to Washington DC, so the two RV Gypsies visited
friends - MaryAlice and Don - Helen and Terry. Check

8. May 23 - June 3, 2008 - Branch Brook Campground,
Thomaston, CT (to visit Lee's relatives) plus Sandra, Karen's friend since
2nd grade, and Karen's friend Tom in Stratford. They tried to visit Karen's
cousins Ronnie & Dickie and their families but were unable to reach
them by phone to set up a visit. Check

June 3 - June 10, 2008 Campground in Lebanon near Hershey and Intercourse,
Pennsylvania and a picnic with some new-found relatives.

June 10 - June 28, 2008: Lee at Tohickson Family Campground, Quakertown,
Pennsylvania: Karen in Stockholm, Sweden to visit Monica and Bitte,
line-dance friends.

June 29-July 12, 2008: Old Mill Run Park-Thornton, Indiana - visit Sharon,
their maid-of-honor from almost 43 years ago. Trip was cut short early morning
July 5th to return to Orlando Florida on an emergency road trip due to our
son's murder.

The detective told the two RV Gypsies to start traveling again, so they
left Markham Park on March 29, 2009 - destination: ALASKA
for the summer, with short stops along the way. They arrived at Lee's Country
Campground in White Springs, Florida on March
31, 2009 and left White Springs on April 2, 2009. There
is NOT a #11 on the above map because these photos have been combined
with a return trip to this same area in April 2010 and can be reached through
#49 on the above map because #11 and #49 cannot both fit in the same spot
on the map. |

Another short stop on the way to Alaska -- April 2-4, 2009 Styx River Campground
in Robertsdale, Alabama. It rained very heavily
all the way there and it was a scary drive at times. The driving area was
under tornado watch the entire drive, and most of Alabama still was the
entire time the two RV Gypsies were there. The park has an indoor pool and
hot tub, but they were closed - what a disappointment. Also in this section,
there are photos driving through Mobile, Alabama and a visit to Bellingrath
Gardens in Theodore, Alabama and a cruise on The Southern
Bell River Cruiser. Then there is Battleship
Memorial Park in Mobile, Alabama and even more. Check

Surprise- Another short stop on the way to Alaska -- April 4-6, 2009 Lakeside
RV Park in Livingston, Louisiana and meet Midnight
and Snowflake.Then continue on to the International Festival in Baton
Rouge and a brief tour of Louisiana's Old State Capitol
building, the Baton Rouge River Center
and the USS KIDD.

Another short stop on the way to Alaska -- April 6-8, 2009 Turtle Bayou
RV Park in Wallisville, Texas. Since MOB broke
down in Louisiana, time here was mostly spent getting MOB fixed.
But the two RV Gypsies met Elvin Hayes who is in the
Basketball Hall of Fame. Check

Another short stop on the way to Alaska -- April 8-10, 2009 Admiralty RV
Resort in San Antonio, Texas. There is so much
history here, including, of course, the Alamo, the
City of San Antonio, Japanese Gardens and Mission San Jose. The two
RV Gypsies met new RV friends here. Check

Another short stop on the way to Alaska -- April 10-12, 2009 Circle Bar
RV Park in Ozona, Texas, listed as "the
biggest small city in America." The local attraction here is
David Crockett Statue and museum - a hero at the Battle of the Alamo. The
two RV Gypsies also went to San Angelo State Park
and saw prairie dogs, a long-eared jackrabbit, and wild turkeys. There
was a hail storm the night before they left. Check

Another short stop on the way to Alaska -- April 12-14, 2009 Mt. View RV
Park in Van Horn, Texas. The majestic landscape
here is amazing. The two RV Gypsies took a trip to
Guadalupe Mountain National Park in Pine Springs, Texas, an 86,416
acre park bordering New Mexico and boasts the highest point in the state
of Texas at 8,749 feet - Guadalupe
Peak, that Karen and Lee hiked. OMG - talk about aching feet! Check

The two RV Gypsies took a bit longer stop on the way to Alaska -- April
14-17, 2009 Sunny Acres RV Park, Las Cruces, New Mexico,
in order to visit their friends, Jerry and
Carole in Las Cruces. It was a wonderful two days seeing the
White Sands and The Space Mural and more. Thank you Jerry and Carole
for entertaining us and showing us around.

Vista in Benson, Arizona - Here the two RV
Gypsies hiked Chiricahua Mountain, a strenuous
hike with amazing balanced rock formations, plus toured Dragoon
Mountain which was also amazing. Check

Another short stop on the way to Alaska -- April 19-21, 2009 Saddle Mountain
RV Park in Tonopah, Arizona. Here Karen went
to the El Dorado Hot Springs.
The two RV Gypsies went to Eagle Tail Mountain Wolf
Sanctuary and got to meet some amazing wolves and the two people
who work hard to care for them. The two RV Gypsies really urge you to visit
them when in the area. Check

21.
A bit longer stop on the way to Alaska -- April 21-27, 2009 Mountain Lakes
at Lytle Creek, California - located at an elevation
of 3200 feet in a secluded, scenic valley. It has twin lakes and a stream
running through the park. The
two RV Gypsies spent time with Karen's youngest sister, Ilse.
Ilse, Karen and Lee went to Venice Beach; took
the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway up Chino Canyon;
and hiked part of Big Bear Mountain.

Another short stop on the way to Alaska -- April 27-30, 2009 Kaweah Park
Resort at Three Rivers, California. Sequoia
National Park is in this area - Designated in 1890, this
national park features many trees, which are named after famous United States
Generals. The world's most voluminous tree, the General Sherman Tree, is
located in Sequoia National Park. Also featured in the park are the Crystal
Caves, Lodgepole Village, and the Trail of Sequoias. Check
out #22 on the map above. This was one of Karen's favorite
places. |

RV Park, El Portal, California. Here the two
RV Gypsies visited Yosemite National Park.

Another short stop on the way to Alaska -- May 3-6, 2009 San
Francisco/North Petaluma KOA in Petaluma, California.
The two RV Gypsies walked the Golden Gate Bridge.
They also went to the Armstrong Woods State Reserve and saw the giant
redwood trees. the weather was cloudy and there was lots of fog but
photos are posted on the map above anyway.

Another short stop on the way to Alaska -- May 6-8, 2009 Bear Mountain Resort
& Campground, Redding, California. Here the two RV Gypsies went to Shasta
Dam - the second largest dam in the continental United States, got
up close to four more deer, and also went to the Sundial
Bridge, which is amazing. Check

The two RV Gypsies arrived back in Florida, visited friends at The Villages,
then on to Broward County (South Florida) on the evening of October 14,
2009 - then Karen went on a line dance cruise to the Caribbean October
24 through November 1, 2009 while Lee visited their daughter and grandchildren.

USA map page. They left Broward on April 17, 2010 - after a longer stay
