Crystal Crane
Hot Springs is a small campground with hot springs located right in
the campground. There were only seven (7) RV sites, three (3) of which
were 50 amp full hook-up. (There was a lone campsite on the hill but
it appeared to be reserved for someone special). There were also several
cabins for rent. The Commons Room is nice and had a big TV,
couch, recliner, magazines, books, puzzles and such. It is attached
to the office, and closed at 9 P.M. However, the hot springs is outdoors
of course, so the hot springs can be used 24/7 by campers and cabin
renters, but is also open to the public until 9 P.M.
No cable at sites, but there was TV in the commons room until 9 P.M.
The campground had an unsecured Wi-Fi site that came in fairly fast.
This campground had the worst water pressure that the two RV Gypsies
have ever experienced, yet they had sprinklers running to water the
grass areas. The campground had a gravel road and sites with grassy
areas near cabins and the ponds. The campground did not seem to object
to a clothes rack for bathing suits and towels, and their literature
did not mention anything about washing cars. Yes, the two RV Gypsies
would stay here again sometime in the future. Remember, anything written
on this website about any campground or even a restaurant can change
as time passes. |

Below is the area where Karen
Duquette entered the hot springs from. It dipped down right at the entry.
This was difficult to maneuver in the dark as there were no lights in
the area at night. The pond was rocky, so Karen Duquette wore water-shoes
in the hot springs pond. |

Below: Karen Duquette tried
taking a few photos of herself in the hot springs while Lee Duquette
was in the RV across the street resting. She had the hot springs all
to herself and really enjoyed it. The temperature was about 100 degrees,
which is slightly less than other hot springs Karen has been in. And
actually, there were hot spots and cold spots throughout the pond. The
middle of the hot springs was pretty deep. |

Below: Later Karen and Lee
Duquette returned to the hot springs together. This time they brought
beach noodles with them because there were no seats in this hot spring
area, and parts of the hot springs were very deep. |

Each of the two evenings that
Lee and Karen Duquette stayed at Crystal Crane Hot Springs, they enjoyed
the hot springs in the evening until about midnight. They tried taking
night-time photos of themselves and the results are very funny (see
the photos below). The flash on the camera was so bright, that they
had to close their eyes, and even then the bright flash hurt their eyes
because the evening was so dark. (There were lots of stars in the sky,
but absolutely no moon, and no artificial lights near the hot springs)
So go ahead and have a good laugh at the photos below. |

RVing is.

that gave the RV an eerie look.

Hot Springs to go to Bruneau Dunes State Park, Karen Duquette photographed
the building on the hill across from the campground because she wanted
a better look at what that one lone building was. The red signs on each
side of the building say Hyundai. |
