Lee and Karen Duquette
took a car trip to
NC, KY, OH, PA, NJ, RI, MA, CT, and back to NC
June 28, 2024 - July 28, 2024

Lee Duquette
planned to take this trip in the RV, but at the last minute, he discovered
a problem with the RV. And since Karen Duquette's sister, Ilse Blahak,
who lives in California had already paid for an air flight to meet them
in Rhode Island, they had to cancel all the campgrounds they already
had booked, and they took the trip by car and booked hotels. Everything
was great until it was NOT and their trip was CUT SHORT by
a full month. Details are posted below at the appropriate spot. |

At this time, Lee Duquette was already
healed, but it was decided that Karen Duquette had to get back to SC
for further help with her injuries and so the trip had to be cut short
and Ilse Blahak had to return to California sooner than expected. |

July 28 - Monster
Jam #5 - this time at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC - several pages,
different trucks and drivers
(this was already paid for BEFORE Karen Duquette got injured, so they
could not cancel it, Plus it was on their way back to South Carolina
anyway.) |

No travels in most of August 2024, so
that Karen Duquette could relax and let her right wrist, both elbows,
both hips and her right shoulder heal from her fall on July 13th. Yes,
it took 2 months to get somewhat better. BUT her right wrist and right
shoulder continued to hurt, but she did not think it was that bad. But
the pain eventually did get so bad, that Karen Duquette finally had
shoulder surgery in February 2025 that will take 4 - 6 months to heal.
She never should have waited that long for the surgery. Bravery does
not always pay off. |
Since Lee Duquette had already paid for Monster Jam tickets for September,
that could NOT be refunded, they went to Duluth, Georgia, even though
Karen was still wearing a small brace on her right hand at that time
while. This would be their
6th Monster Jam event, this time at Gas South Arena in Duluth, Georgia.
