Hobart is the capital and most populous city of Tasmania, Australia. It is located on the Derwent River Estuary, making it Australia's southernmost capital. A historic city, founded as a penal colony, it is known for its rich heritage, vibrant arts scene, fresh seafood, and as a gateway to Antarctica with the backdrop of Kunaryi/Mount Wellington. It offers a mix of historic sandstone buildings, modern creativity and access to wilderness.
