Lee and Karen Duquette
flew from California to Australia and New Zealand in 2005

Lee and Karen Duquette flew from Florida to Los Angeles, California. Then they spent the night in a hotel in California before taking a 12-hour flight to Australia on the next day, December 17, 2005.

Qantas Airline had individual TV sets for each passenger, with multiple choices of free movies, regular TV stations, various music radio stations or games. The TV showed the location of the plane, plus the estimated time of arrival, distance from departure, how long we have been in the air, how much longer the trip would be, air temperature outside of the plane, how high we were flying, plus ground speed and attitude.

As it got dark outside, most passengers slept and some watched TV while wearing earplugs. Before Karen and Lee Duquette slept, they changed their watches to Australia time so that when they woke up, their bodies would believe the time on their watches. IT WORKED. They did NOT have any jet lag at all.

They crossed several International Date Lines, and therefore there was NO such thing as a Sunday. So they arrived in Australia on Monday morning, December 19, 2005. Total air miles from Los Angeles, California to Australia was 6,455.
