This is a day use area, sunrise to sunset with designated swimming areas, reachable only by boat. Karen and Lee Duquette took their family, Renee, Kristen, and Alex to Peanut Island for the soul purpose of spreading Brian Duquette's ashes. Brian loved the ocean, and always said that he wanted to retire on an island and "veg out". So that is why Peanut Island was the chosen spot for Brian's ashes. Such a somber, important day. God, how they wish this had never happened. Brian Duquette will always be in so many hearts, and missed by many people.

Below: The family explored a bit of the island before finding the perfect spot, if there ever is any such thing on occasions like this.

Below: Then it was time to provide Brian Duquette with his new environment. The perfect place a bit off the beaten path for Brian Duquette to veg out, on the island and in the waters. (He often said he wanted to veg out on an island once he retired. But of course, he never got the chance to retire).

Below; One last moment to reflect on life without Brian Duquette. Kristen is old enough to really remember Brian forever, but Brian's grandson Alex is not. It will be horrifying for Karen when Alex admits he does not remember his Uncle Brian too much. (And, yes, that date came and broke Karen's heart)

The Orlando detective finally told Lee and Karen Duquette to travel because it would be 3 to 5 years before Douglas Lively would be tried for first-degree murder. So with big holes in their hearts, and anger and hatred for Brian Duquette's killer, the two RV Gypsies did travel again, but the tears flow daily, and life will never be the same without their son, Brian Duquette, who will never be forgotten by so many people, especially his parents.
