This
is a day use area, sunrise to sunset with designated swimming areas,
reachable only by boat. Karen and Lee Duquette took their family, Renee,
Kristen, and Alex to Peanut Island for the soul purpose of spreading
Brian Duquette's ashes. Brian loved the ocean, and always said that
he wanted to retire on an island and "veg out". So that is
why Peanut Island was the chosen spot for Brian's ashes. Such a somber,
important day. God, how they wish this had never happened. Brian Duquette
will always be in so many hearts, and missed by many people.| The Orlando detective finally told Lee and Karen Duquette to travel because it would be 3 to 5 years before Douglas Lively would be tried for first-degree murder. So with big holes in their hearts, and anger and hatred for Brian Duquette's killer, the two RV Gypsies did travel again, but the tears flow daily, and life will never be the same without their son, Brian Duquette, who will never be forgotten by so many people, especially his parents.
