Below: The "new yard" of the two RV Gypsies at Rainbow Village RV Park in Denali. The campground had a laundry room and showers but tokens had to be purchased. Lee and Karen Duquette do not need the campground laundry room or showers. The campground had free Wi-Fi but it was unsecured. Washing vehicles was not allowed. Cable TV provided only 11 channels. The campground is 90 miles from Mt. McKinley which could not be seen from the campground.

Below: Looking out the door of their RV, Karen Duquette noticed a very unusual SUN and sky above the mountain. The first photo below was taken at 8:54 p.m. and the last photo was taken at 9:06 P.M. Notice how very different the SUN/clouds/sky look in each photo. The photos are shown in the order taken. An enjoyable 12 minutes. Remember, this is the SUN at night-time, not the moon.

Below: Lee Duquette drove around the town in their toad and made a wrong turn and drove onto a gravel road in the woods, but it provided for some great photo opportunities.

Below: Lee and Karen Duquette came upon Iditarod Champion Jeff Kings' Husky Homestead. A young girl came running out as if in a panic and asked if she could help us. Karen explained that they took a wrong turn and the girl said in a VERY RUDE voice that it was private property and tours were given by reservation and people brought in by bus only. Karen apologized for intruding and stated that there was not any signs saying "private property" or "no trespassing" so they were not aware of where they were heading. Again, the girl answered in a not so nice voice and said said there are not any signs because they do not want to scare people away (yet she was rudely telling the two RV Gypsies to go away). Karen Duquette wondered why she was in such a panic, and so rude, that they were there, especially since they apologized and were ready to leave.
